Classic Italy Grand Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Rome

Private transfer from Rome Airport to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. 

 

Day 2: Rome

Start your stay in Italy with a an unforgettable city tour: our professional guide will lead you to the most significant landmarks as the Colosseum (included a guided visit inside the Arena), Piazza di Spagna (Spain Steps), Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and many more. Spare time in the afternoon. On request, in the evening an optional cooking class can be added to the program.

 

Day 3: Rome

In the morning have a half day guided visit to Vatican Holy See and its treasures. Our private guide will escort you during an unforgettable visit to the Vatican Museums, the artworks of Michelangelo and Raphael, the famous courtyards, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Sistine Chapel and the access to St.Peter’s Basilica, Michelangelo’s La Pietà, St.Peter’s Square and Bernini’s optical illusion. In the afternoon leave Rome and move to the stunning Amalfi Coast by private van. Check-in into the hotel, dinner and spare time.

 

Day 4: Amalfi Coast

Enjoy a full day to visit the beauties of the Amalfi Coast: Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Together with your guide, you will spend an unforgettable day discovering the fun facts and history of the Coast. During the day you will have some free time to spend at a leisurely pace in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Walk along the narrow streets of Positano, sip an espresso in a cozy cafè on the beach, relax on the Spiaggia Grande or visit one of the nice art galleries. Don' t miss the Cathedral of Amalfi and its beautiful cloister and don’t forget to taste a delicious "Santa Rosa" pastry. During the last stop in Ravello, it's warmly suggested to visit the célèbre Villa Rufolo and its beautiful garden overlooking the sea. Get to visit one of the nice pottery's factories without missing the hidden shops where you could taste the homemade limoncello and the local lemon flavored oil. 

 

Day 5: Amalfi Coast - Florence

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. In the morning move to Naples station and reach Florence by high-speedy train in about three hours. Check-in into the hotel and free time. Florence is not a big city, but it is a real open-air museum, so a guided stroll in the afternoon will give you the opportunity to see the most significant places that feature the capital of Renaissance. Thanks to a well-located hotel you and your guide can reach in few minutes Santa Maria Novella square, then the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) and its ancient jewelry stores, Piazza della Signoria and its famous statues located outside the buildings that make it probably one of the most precious squares in the world. During the walking tour you can’t miss an external visit to the Duomo, with its incredible frescoes on the walls, the Giotto’s bell tower, and the Brunelleschi’s Dome. Spare time in the evening.

Day 6: Florence & Tuscany Chianti Wine region

Enjoy a morning off in Florence (on request we can provide entrance tickets to Accademia or Uffizi Gallery, or other additional activities). In the afternoon take the private van to Tuscany countryside, and have a visit to a winery and its vineyards and cellars. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how the wine production process works, and at the end of the visit enjoy a delicious dinner based on local products: the meal will include both typical foods of the region and a decade of different wines from Chianti area. Return to Florence in the evening.

 

Day 7: Florence - Venice

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Catch the high-speed train and reach Venice in a couple of hours. Here by ready to immerse yourself. in a real new world: the Venice Lagoon. The water-taxi will lead us to the hotel, a boutique hotel well-located close to Piazza San Marco. After check-in you'll have a copule of spare hours, then it will be time for a guided walking tour of the magic and romantic city of Venice: Saint Mark’s Square and the Golden Basilica, Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto Bridge and many other famous places. At the end of the tour enjoy a Gondola ride to discover Venice from an unexpected point of view.

Day 8: Venice

Enjoy a full day off in Venice. On request we can provide an optional half day excursion to the stunning and typical islands of Murano and Burano, worldwide renewed for their incredible art & crafts traditional products. In Murano it also will be .possible to visit a glass factory.

 

Day 9: Venice - Milan

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. From the hotel catch your private water-taxi to the station and reach Milan by high-speed train in two and half hours. In the afternoon have a private guided walking tour of the city's highlights, which include the Sforza Castle, the Duomo, "La Scala" Theater - Opera House, via Montenapoleone and the iconic fashion district. Spare time in the evening.

Day 10: Lake Como

Meet your driver at the hotel and move to Lake Como shores. Here thanks to our local guide you’ll experience a pleasant day discovering the area, its iconic places and a lot of hidden gems. The excursion will include a two hours guided cruise by ferry boat from Como to Bellagio, coasting the stunning villages that feature the lake. After the cruise, enjoy a walking tour in the worldwide famous village of Bellagio, then have free time for lunch, shopping, and exploring the town on your own. Late in the afternoon return to Milan by van. Spare time in the evening.

 

Day 11: Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. According to your flight departure schedule, catch your private transfer from the hotel to the airport.
